Cadí is an innovative timber gridshell designed to serve as a vibrant hub for local youth activities in the Pyrenean town of Alp.

Crafted as a pseudo-geodesic marvel, Cadí boasts a construction comprising three layers of slender birch plywood. This unique design not only imparts robust stiffness to the structure but also ensures remarkable lightweight characteristics. The inherent geodesic configuration simplifies fabrication along a single axis and streamlines the assembly process.

Secured firmly to the ground by detachable steel foundations, the pavilion is engineered to endure the rigors of the harsh winter climate prevalent in La Cerdanya. Known for its copious snowfall and strong winds, this region demands structures of exceptional resilience, making Cadí an indispensable asset to the community.
